The revamped County Executives of America, led by County Executive Dan McCoy (Albany, NY) welcomed several members to Boston for a weekend of networking and fun! CE Dan McCoy was also joined by other new leaders Lou Berroteran (Executive Director), Ed Caveney (Strategic Advisor), and Jeff Jamison (Legal Officer).
The weekend in Boston kicked off Friday where members were welcomed at the host hotel (Canopy by Hilton Boston Downtown) and made their way to Fenway Park for a beautiful night at America’s Most Beloved Ballpark! This provided an excellent atmosphere for fellow County Executives to network, bounce ideas off one another and extend a hand for those looking for advice all while enjoying a beautiful night in a private box.
After a wonderful breakfast Saturday morning, all guests were able to sit in on a leadership meeting, which provided an overview of the goals and projects the new CEA is working on. The meeting focused on its members and how the organization can maximize value for all. CEA also unveiled a sneak peak of the new website designed by one of our partners, Zest, set to launch at the beginning of Q4. The new website aims to drive engagement, keep members informed, and provide a platform for its members.
After the meeting, guests were able to choose from several afternoon activities whether exploring the city on Duck Boats or visiting Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Later Saturday evening, all guests met at Rowe’s Warf for the CEA Boston Harbor Cruise, followed by an Italian dinner at Benevento’s in Boston’s North End! What a day!
CEA had tremendous feedback in regards to where the organization is going and all of the members are excited for the future. Keep your eyes peeled for several other upcoming events!
