The County Executives of America were back in Boston, MA for another summer weekend!
The guests spent a weekend in June at the Canopy by Hilton Hotel in downtown Boston. The Boston Public Market was on one side, Faneuil Hall on the other and the legendary North End and New England Aquarium right across the street! Much to do just footsteps outside of the hotel door!
The weekend kicked off with a Friday night game under the lights at Fenway Park! Although the Red Sox lost to the Padres, everyone still had a remarkable night enjoying each other’s company in a private suite filled with good food and great conversation!
The next morning started with a delicious breakfast and followed by a leadership meeting hosted by the CEA. Some of the discussion included reflecting on the memberships this past year and all of savings from counties currently enrolled in CEA programs. President & CEO Nanette R. Poserina with Health Insurance Solutions, INC (HISI) spoke about the services her company offers and gave quite a few examples of savings she was able to provide for individual counties. Nanette’s presentation was well received by the counties
After the meeting, guests were able to explore Boston on their own until their departure was set to embark for “The Original and World Famous” Boston Duck Boat Tour. The tour took members through the city to different landmarks and historical sights and of course, floating on the Charles River! The grand finale of the night was an Italian dinner at Benevento’s in Boston’s North End, where the food is remarkable and the ambiance is unbeatable.
It is safe to say that the weekend in Boston, MA was a grand slam!
